Pan Am 1901 Search is Over! / The Great Deal

After about 2 years of being intrigue by the grandeur of the Pan Am, I found the photo I was looking for! Well that is all because I don't want to give it away (you'll see it on November 2nd)! Well the great deal happened on the 19th when I went to the bitter sweet book sale at the library. I went upstairs to where it was, the top floor use to be filled with books but it was all empty except for the books for sale, every book was $.25. I went in looking for old books from the 20s or earlier because I knew they sold them in the past so that was all I was looking for, I did find one from 22 it is The Next-to-Nothing House its a book on how to decorate your house with not allot of stuff. Anyways back to the deal, I was walking around for about 1hr then I went to the far back and that's when I saw them, about 15 of them all staked up. Christian Science Monitor books from 1939 to 1945. I picked up the 1940 Jan-March, 23 lbs of history that is not in history books! It was published in April of 1940.

Pan Am For my Birthday (July 15)

Stadium

Stadium

I know I haven't written on my blog in a while but its summer and I was really busy with camp and family. Well anyways, for my birthday I got 2 post cards from the Pan Am! One is the Temple of Music that was sent to Ohio, it uses the phrase "Rainbow City" in it, I think that's cool. The other one was of the Stadium and was sent to....(suspense) Germany! Both have their stamps, one cent to mail it to Ohio and two cents to mail it it Germany! The one that went to Ohio was mailed back from Hawaii and the one to Germany was mailed back, from a place much closer to the 1st address then the Ohio one, Holland.

Pan American Expo. in Buffalo day 37-39

                 Today I will wright about the ideal way to enter the fair grounds (based on the planers of the fair). They first wanted the people to enter though the Lincoln Parkway Gate. This was because of its location, it was still in a park like atmosphere, then in a subtle pace, changed to the exuberant fair grounds. After walking in this park like setting they would come across the Triumphal Bridge. Massive 116 feet high pilers with statues that stood another 30 feet tall! One critic from The Architectural Review found it;
Approaching the TriumphApproaching the Triumphal Bridge From the South (Carrère's "ideal approach" to the Exposition)
View of Electric Tower through
 the Triumphal Bridge
    conceived upon so grandiose a scale that it becomes impossible for the remainder of the architecture to be kept in scale with it, and the water beneath it sinks into insignificance. The pylons dwarf the vista seen between them. Even the Central Tower seems small in comparison, and it is not until the bridge is past that the dignity of this tower is felt.
But the rest of the people were in awe over this grand structure.

Pan American Expo. in Buffalo day 1-36

    This is the Pan Am expos 110 aneversery from May 1st to November 2nd. This was the high point in Buffalo's history. Where Buffalo was the center of attention of the world for a few months. The location of this Pan Am is by Hoyt Lake and the Albright-Knox art gallery. For one thing to be clear the Albrigt gallery was not built for the fair but for local use, but it was ,however, used even though it was not finished till 1905. Since the Albright was big and elaborate the architects for the Pan Am slaked and made their art gallery dull and not fancy,because of this the Albright was put on the post cards.(below)

The History of Punk Rock and Roll

It all began in 1937 when Wikileaks was not arownd and when cowboys and aliens romed the west. One day in Barns & Nobel a man/bear ,Fuzzy Wuzzy, started to strum a hair band and scream when he was 2. When he was 15 he started a band called "Green Day". They were the biggist hit at all tailgate parties when in 1995 They started Worp Tour. This kind of tour is the one were if you stand close to them they will give you a hug + a kiss. But all good things must come to an end in 2007 Fuzzy Wuzzy lost all his hair, then he came out with his most famous song," Fuzzy Wuzzy waz a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy Wuzzy wazin't fuzzy waz he???" And that song is now what we call Punk Roke and Roll.
               This post is dedicated to Nancy O. or O.W.N. you bugged me sooo long, did it pay off?DID IT DID IT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!?! lol  =}

He had to were a shirt ... 'cuse no HAIR!

Buffalo

In time you will realize that this blog will mostly be about ... you guessed it Buffalo NY my favorite city in America (2nd in the world next to Prague)!! Most people think this city is a dead "boom" town like the Californian that tweeted that. Well it became that way because of people stupidity both in politics and in the residence of Buffalo.Like Cuomo how he cut founding for the arts but yet but his collection of  historic Buffalo pottery in the Burchfield Penny Art museum, what's up with that?!?!?!? But to save my rants I'll put them with pics as I go, to describe this faded gem that is slowly getting polished but keeps getting dropped in the dirt.
